Condoms - Condoms are available free to all patients.
Emergency Contraception (The Morning-After Pill) - This consists of medication taken up to 5 days after unprotected intercourse (preferably within 72 hours). This has been proven to reduce the risk of pregnancy up to 89% of the time.
Oral Contraception - We offer a wide variety of birth control pills. We will discuss with you which of the many pills on the market might be right for you.
Ortho-Evra® Contraceptive Patch - The birth control patch is a hormonal contraceptive that is changed once a week.
NuvaRing® - A flexible vaginal ring that releases hormones over three weeks to prevent pregnancy.
Depo-Provera® - Contraceptive injection given once every three months to prevent pregnancy. This injection can be administered in our office.
Diaphragm - A diaphragm is a latex barrier that is a soft, shallow dome that covers the cervix. It is used in conjunction with spermicidal jelly, foam, or cream. A physician or nurse practitioner will fit you for the right sized diaphragm.
Mirena® Intrauterine System (IUS) - The IUS is a long-term form of contraception consisting of a small device that is inserted in the uterus. It releases hormones directly onto the endometrium to prevent pregnancy and reduce menstrual bleeding for up to five years.
Paraguard® Intrauterine Device (IUD) - The IUD is a long-term form of contraception consisting of a small copper device that is inserted in the uterus. It contains no hormones and it can be left in place for more than ten years.
Essure® Tubal Occlusion - Essure causes permanent infertility by closing off the fallopian tubes. Essure placed hysteroscopically in our office and requires no incisions or general anesthesia.
